On June 9th The South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Council #6203 handed out their End of Year council awards. During the meeting Grand Knight Tom Berry presented the 2026 South Plainfield Knights of Columbus "Family of the Year Award" to Gerry and Cassie Butrico.
Gerry has been a Knight for 21 yars and actively assists the Council as Financial Secretary, a state-appointed position.
He initiated the very popular Mums sale and flower planting in the borough two decades ago and has run the event every year to the delight of South Plainfield residents who drive through.
Gerry and Cassie, together with their young andn growing family, love to help at the Lenten Fish dinners the Council sponsors each season.
The Butrico's epitomizes what the Knight of Columbus "Family of the year" winner stand for with the full support of the Church, Youth, and South Plainfield Community activities.
